Sujud al-Islam is the largest mosque in the state of Rhode Island, built in 1994 to cater to the growing Muslim population of North Smithfield. The mosque welcomes Muslims of all denominations, sects, and all ethnicities and ethnicities, but follows primarily the texts of the Quran and Sunnah. The mosque is run in a democratic manner, with administrative matters overseen by a committee of six. The main issues and issues are discussed before the community makes a final decision. The Mosque of Islam works to establish an interfaith dialogue and actively communicates with Jewish and Jewish communities for cooperation before planning. Future plans include participation with local hospitals to conduct a comprehensive annual medical check-up as part of the community's health awareness day and about 250 worshipers attend the Friday Hall.
